Cardiff Council schools serve a balanced 2 course meal and a cold drink for £2.50 per child per day.

Our menu operates on a three week cycle to ensure that children receive a varied diet, and there is a Halal & vegetarian choice available each day.  A link to Cardiff Council's menu can be found below.

Dinner money should be paid on the first day of the school week.

Please place your payment in an envelope clearly marked with your child's name and class, and leave it in the post box in the main school office foyer.  You can pay by cash or cheque (made payable to Cardiff City Council, or C.C.C., not to Severn Primary School).

The administrator with responsibility for school meals is:

Primary School Free Breakfast Initiative:

Breakfast has long been recognised as the most important meal of the day and evidence suggests that children who have the opportunity to eat a healthy and nutritious breakfast prior to the start of the school day are more likely to achieve their full potential.

The Welsh Assembly Government Primary School Free Breakfast Initiative gives children in primary schools in Wales the opportunity to have a free, healthy breakfast in school each day. For further information about our Breakfast Club please call into the main school office.
